Unique crossbody made from upcycled surfer kites
We are often contacted by private kite surfers who would like to donate their discarded kites instead of wasting them. We have got a beautiful collection of colorful bags out of it. The kites have some distinctive stitching that adds beautiful, unique details to each bag, and furthermore they are available in the most incredible colors and patterns that give the bags a unique and sporty look.
This product is made by creatively upcycling materials that would otherwise be turned into waste. Transforming leftover materials, deadstock, and second-hand materials into something that has more value and less environmental impact is the core of our business. When you buy upcycled items, you help to reduce the environmental footprint of the fashion industry, supporting the shift towards a circular economy

ECO-Friendly materials
Besides surfer kites, this crossbody bag is made of leftover tarpaulin from truck cover production in Denmark. We collect the surplus material that otherwise would end on the landfill. The material is waterproof and durable, and exactly the strong material you can find in the majority of our GRÜNBAG bags. The inside pocket is made from recycled commercial banners and the comfortable and adjustable shoulder strap is made from recycled polyester (rPET). That makes every item a unique bag that is both a colorful eyecatcher and a sustainable statement.
Is it waterproof?
The tarpaulin material is 100% waterproof, but the bag should not be placed directly in water as the seams are not sealed. Nevertheless, the seams are very tight, so the bag will be a good companion even on rainy days.
